7.1. Driver Requirements & General Obligations
Eligibility: The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years and present all required identification documents.
Proper Use: The driver agrees to use the vehicle in full compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Authorized Drivers: The vehicle may only be driven by drivers declared in the agreement.
Responsibility: The driver is responsible for the proper use, safekeeping, and return of the vehicle in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
7.2. Fuel Policy
Return Level: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up.
Missing Fuel: Any fuel shortage will be charged accordingly.
Refuelling Fee: An additional service fee may apply.
Note: No refund is given for excess fuel.
7.3. Usage Restrictions & Prohibited Use
Off-Road Prohibition: Driving on non-asphalt roads, dirt roads, beaches, sand, or other unsuitable terrain is strictly prohibited.
Territorial Restrictions: The vehicle may not be taken outside agreed areas without prior written approval.
Improper Use: Use of the vehicle in a manner that may cause damage (including overloading or reckless or illegal driving) is prohibited.
Consequences: Any violation renders all insurance coverage void, and the driver becomes fully liable for all damages, recovery costs, and loss of use.
7.4. Damages, Insurance & Liability
Liability: The driver is fully liable for any damage, loss, or destruction of the vehicle caused by fault, negligence, or improper use.
Indicative Cases: Including but not limited to violation of traffic laws, breach of contract terms, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Third Parties: The driver is responsible for damages caused by any third party to whom the vehicle was entrusted.
Insurance: Any agreed insurance (CDW, SCDW, etc.) applies only if all terms and laws are respected.
Exclusions: No coverage applies in cases of prohibited use or violation of terms.
Uncovered Costs: The driver must cover all damages not covered by insurance, including repair costs, immobilization, administrative expenses, and loss of income.
7.5. Delivery, Return & Additional Charges
Vehicle Condition: The driver must inspect the vehicle upon delivery and return it in the same condition.
Cleanliness: The vehicle must be returned in a reasonable state of cleanliness.
Cleaning Fee: In case of excessive dirt, stains, sand, or strong odors (including smoking), an additional cleaning fee will apply.
Smoking Policy: Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Any damage or odor caused by smoking will be charged to the driver.
Delay: Late return of the vehicle may result in additional charges.
Accidents: In case of accident or breakdown, the driver must immediately inform the driver and the authorities and must not abandon the vehicle.
Fines: The driver bears full responsibility for any fines or penalties incurred during the driver period.
Termination: The driver reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately in case of breach of any terms.
Governing Law: This agreement is governed by Greek law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens.
7.6. General Terms Integration & Acceptance
Declaration: The driver confirms that they have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted the Company’s General Terms and agrees to be fully bound by them.
Integration Clause: The Company’s General Car Rental Terms and Conditions constitute an integral and inseparable part of the present agreement and are binding upon the driver.
Priority: In case of conflict between this agreement and the General Terms, the General Terms shall prevail unless otherwise expressly stated.
